Given the incredible technology which is now available to all of us, it is possible for you to "sample" the latest exhibit at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia or learn more about Iowa's arts requirements for high school graduation! For your assistance and that of your teachers and parents, we have included a summary of the New York State Arts Learning Standards which will be helpful as you — and they — complete Request for Visiting Artists forms. In addition to a brief outline of the Arts Standards, we have provided a link to the New York State Department of Education website which will provide you with a detailed description of the Learning Standards for all curriculum areas. Finally, this RESOURCE option of the website provides you with an opportunity to conduct an ADVANCED SEARCH for an artist or arts organization. Utilizing a sophisticated search engine, you can now hunt for a program for your students by choosing art form, artists' name / organization's name / title of program, grade level, length of program and cost!
