Program Description
 |
| A multi-lingual world music concert featuring folk songs from around the globe. Robbi K & Friends chant with you in Swahili, hum Zulu folk songs like Mbube, dance to the Latin clavé rhythm, sing in a reggae style; celebrating l’chaim, and our common bonds as people.
Keep the Beat is a concert with pulsating energy and interactivity, with an emphasis on how people all over the world are connected by music, history, and daily interaction. Robbi K invites you to join in as she shares stories about her travels as a musician, interacting through call & response singing in 6 languages.
Children exposed to these songs will not only be singing them for many years to come but hopefully will be inspired to become loving and open-minded participants in the global community.
Curriculum connections include multi-cultural studies, global studies, and language other than English. This art forms include music, social studies, and storytelling. |
