Program Description
Red White & Blue: Hooray for You!!! This program reflects the magnificent diversity of America thru our music. The very spirit of a community is in the words of its songs, and America is spiced with cultures from around the globe. This sing-along show passes onto future generations Native American songs, and a variety of cultural folk songs like De Colores, Miss Mary Mack, Frère Jacques, Alouette, Home on the Range, Sakura, Hava Nagilah, Mo Li Hua (The Jasmine Song) as well as some of our greatest patriotic songs like You're A Grand 'Ole Flag, My Country Tis of Thee, Anchors Aweigh, US Marine Corps Hymn, This Land is Your Land and some other interactive, spirited surprises! A unique musical experience for young audiences, Red White & Blue: Hooray for You is the perfect follow-up to Keep The Beat - or when you’re looking for that special program to celebrate America's diversity with a patriotic theme. This show not only entertains but reflects upon state global studies & music curriculum. The repertoire for this program is selected from the songbook used by most public and private schools: Get America Singing!.. AGAIN! - a project of the Music Educators National Conference. Celebrate the earth, its beautifully diverse people, & the richness of America with Red White & Blue: Hooray for You! Curriculum connections include multi-cultural studies and American History. Art forms include music, social studies, and storytelling.
