Public Relations Service

Services we provide:

Budget/Bond Campaigns
Communications professionals can work with the district administrative team to survey community opinion; plan public meetings; create brochures, special web sites and other marketing materials; and/or provide and place targeted press releases to win public support for budgets and bonds.

District Newsletters and Brochures
We work with school boards and administrators to create award-winning publications that express each of our client districts’ distinctive images. Professional writers, photographers and designers plan with districts to create regular newsletters or stand-alone district and school brochures that convey strategic district messages through appealing articles and photographs of people and programs in action.

Media Alerts and Press Releases
The Service can help raise a school district’s positive profile through regular placement of “good news” in community newspapers and regional media as appropriate. We can also assist with limited media campaigns-surrounding a special anniversary or event.

Professional Design Services
For districts wishing to create a unique and memorable image, Public Relations Service artists and writers can work with school board and administrators to craft a custom image, including a logo and motto that reflect your district’s educational vision.

Marketing Campaigns
The Public Relations Service has won national awards for marketing campaigns, which have raised the image of special events and programs through a coordinated variety of media, including publications, news stories, pamphlets, posters, bookmarks and web site information.

Crisis Communications
When there is bad news, it helps to have a communications professional in your corner. School Public Relations professionals work with your district to establish guidelines for communicating with parents, community and the media before, during and after a crisis. We will also help you to pinpoint and prepare a district spokesperson and keep the message factual and consistent.

Photography
Capture students in action-on the athletic field, in the classroom, during special events and everywhere in between-from kindergarten to commencement. Our professional photography services are available to districts for any occasion, for display or for use in their publications.

Special Events
Does your district have a major milestone coming up, or a major achievement to celebrate? The Public Relations Service can help coordinate special events, from an anniversary party for a school to a ceremony celebrating honored alumni. Professionals will help plan a meaningful event that will attract media and make memories.

Website Design and Content
Make use of the unlimited space on the Internet and get your district’s message into the homes in your community and the world beyond. The Public Relations Service can access the best in web site consultation, creation and design for your district, blending the best in technology and educational communication.

PowerPoint Presentations
Public Relations Service writers and designer offer PowerPoint presentations that can be customized for district budget and School Report Card presentations, or specifically designed for other uses.

Communications Workshops for Staff
The Public Relations Service can provide workshops on communications topics for district conference days or any other occasion, for example, Grassroots Public Relations for support staff or Spokesperson Training for administrators.

Focus Groups and Skilled Meeting Facilitators
For districts needing public feedback on a particular issue, the Service can plan and facilitate focus groups with students, parents, staff, administrators or district residents, and follow up with a report and recommendations.

Communications Assessments
The Service can provide a team of communications experts to give a professional and objective assessment of district communications, reviewing internal and external publications, letters and web sites, and/or facilitating focus groups. A full report and recommendations are presented to the board and administration.
