The Asian Languages BETAC, in collaboration with NYC DOE and NY State
Department of Education, is sponsoring 3 statewide contests this year to
promote the appreciation of Chinese and Korean cultures:
· the Chinese Painting Contest (for students of all ethnic/language
backgrounds, grades K-12)
· the Chinese Essay Contest (in Chinese, grades 6-12)
· the Korean Essay Contest (in Korean, grades 6-12)
Deadlines for submission EXTENDED to March 3, 2010 for the
Chinese/Korean Essay Contests and March 22, 2010 for the Chinese Painting
Contest.
