Fred Podolski
Executive Director As the Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology (CIT), Fred Podolski brings over 24 years of both teaching and administrative experience to Nassau BOCES. Mr. Podolski provides leadership to a staff of over 300 CIT employees that are responsible for the curriculum and instruction, health and safety, informational management and technology services provided to Nassau County’s public school districts. Mr. Podolski has previously served Nassau BOCES as the Assistant Director of CIT and as a Supervisor of Instructional Technology Programs. Prior to coming to Nassau BOCES in 1991, Mr. Podolski was a Computer Support teacher with the Ithaca City School District where he provided technical support as well as training for teachers in the use of instructional and application software. In addition, Mr. Podolski was a Computer Technology teacher in the Oswego Middle School District. His earliest work involved designing and programming instructional software for career education at SUNY College at New Paltz, and also designing and delivering workshops for educators in the use of technology in migrant education at SUNY College at Oswego. Mr. Podolski serves on the USNY Technology Policy and Practice Council and on WLIW/21's Instructional Television Service Committee.
