Peter LaDuca890
Mr. LaDuca is the Senior Manager of the Nassau BOCES Health & Safety Training and Information Service. He established this program 15 years ago and currently works with 48 Nassau County School Districts. The purpose of the Health & Safety Service is to help school districts respond to the ever increasing requirements of health and safety issues which impact them. Some of the more recent issues include emergency planning, violence prevention and the SAVE regulations. Mr. LaDuca has been certified by the National School Safety Center as a Violence Prevention Leader and has also been certified by the New York State Education Department as a Violence Prevention Trainer. Mr. LaDuca works closely with all regulatory agencies including the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA, Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Education Department, Nassau County Department of Health, Nassau County Police Department and Emergency Management Office. Mr. LaDuca has been awarded both a New York State Environmental Stewardship and a United States EPA Environmental Quality Award, the highest honor bestowed by that agency. He is also a frequent guest speaker for national, state and local groups and has taught violence prevention programs at local colleges and universities. Mr. La Duca has previously directed health and safety programs for the State of Connecticut, State of New York, SUNY at Brooklyn and the City of New York. He received his Masters Degree from Long Island University in Public Administration and is a Certified Healthcare Administrator and Registered Environmental Health Specialist.
