The ChildSafe School
Green Cleaning

New legislation, which became effective in September 2006, will require school districts to utilize environmentally preferable cleaning agents (also known as Green Cleaning).

The video, developed by Grassroots Environmental Education, a nonprofit group in Port Washington, highlights how the Baldwin and Great Neck School Districts have implemented Green Cleaning Programs. Mr. Michael Sheehan, Director of Facilities for Baldwin and Mr. David Kincaid, District Consultant for Great Neck describe how Green Cleaning was adapted to their school districts.

This video is a must for any school district seeking guidance on Green Cleaning and provides an excellent training tool for school boards, PTA's, staff and students
