The primary goal of the SIF is to enable data sharing among existing school district line of business systems. SIF provides a technology standard that enables the first step in effective Data-Drive Decision Making-Integration and interoperability. Nassau BOCES is a partner with SIFA (Schools Interoperability Framework Association) and is also a Certified Solution Provider for the Edustructures suite of SIF products and Zone Integration Server, SIFWorks. What is SIF? Imagine a student added in the district SIS. Now imagine that the same data immediately and seamlessly is available in all other district applications. That student will automatically be provisioned with: a student record, a library account, network access, food service account, bus route, IEP record if needed, etc. Learn more about Schools Interoperability Framework!
