   Framework

The primary goal of the SIF is to enable data sharing among existing school district line of business systems. SIF provides a technology standard that enables the first step in effective Data-Drive Decision Making-Integration and interoperability. Nassau BOCES is a partner with SIFA (Schools Interoperability Framework Association) and is also a Certified Solution Provider for the Edustructures suite of SIF products and Zone Integration Server, SIFWorks.

What is SIF?
SIF enables diverse applications to interact and share data efficiently, reliability and securely regardless of the platform hosting the applications.

Imagine a student added in the district SIS. Now imagine that the same data immediately and seamlessly is available in all other district applications. That student will automatically be provisioned with: a student record, a library account, network access, food service account, bus route, IEP record if needed, etc.
