MCS Year-End Conference

MicroComputer Support held its year-end conference for NASTECH members on Thursday, June 9. This year’s guest speaker was Nassau BOCES Deputy Superintendent Dr. John Gangemi who addressed the 30 attendees from 22 districts on a variety of issues regarding Nassau BOCES, including current initiatives and strategies for improving services for the districts.

Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to a number of NASTECH members including Syd Freifelder of Merrick UFSD and Kathy Slowey of Locust Valley CSD in recognition of their retirements. Also recognized were this year’s MCS Executive Committee of Dr. Guy J. Le Vaillant, Uniondale UFSD (Chairperson), Gary Pardo, North Bellmore UFSD (Vice Chairperson) and Bill Brennan, Island Trees UFSD (Recorder).

NASTECH members provided feedback on the year's monthly meeting and seminar presentations and discussed topics of interest for the coming year. But most of all it was a day to relax and mingle with district colleagues over lunch as another school year winds down to a close.

And a good time was had by all!
