Peer Review Overview The New York State Academy for Teaching and Learning (NYSATL) has established a Peer Review process to improve the achievement of all students by enhancing teachers' abilities to provide quality instruction based on the New York State Learning Standards. Peer Review is a process in which educators engage in authentic conversion about classroom practice. Colleagues review teacher and student work in a non-threatening environment. A Regional Peer Review is
conducted on Long Island sponsored by Long Island Partners for Educational
Peer Review (LIPEPR). Nassau BOCES Model Schools is a partner in the Peer
Review Process.
