You are invited to study in a warm, friendly atmosphere with
certified, experienced adult educators. You will make friends from many
countries across the globe. You will participate in school activities,
such as international festivals, service learning projects, computer
projects, field trips, and many other activities that will make your
time at Nassau BOCES successful and memorable.
Free Tuition
All courses are free for students who do not have a high school diploma
from the United States and are 21 years of age or older.
Registration
There is an annual $25 registration fee for each student. Payment is by
money order only.
Student Assessment
All students will be tested to determine their needs in English,
reading, writing and math.
Class Hours:
Mornings at St. Bernard's
Monday to Friday
8:30-11:30 a.m.
Evenings at Barry Tech
Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday
6:30-9:30 p.m.
Flexible Scheduling
Students can attend mornings or evenings. Schedules are individually tailored
to meet students' work and family needs.
Open Enrollment
Registration is continuous and students can enroll at any time school is
in session. Students may re-enroll at any time if work or family
situation changes.
Program Calendar
Classes are held from September to June, and six weeks in summer.
Regular school holidays are observed.
