As Ms. Smith’s class streams into the computer lab she
asks them to log in to Studywiz Spark. Her class is designing a city of
the future as part of their “Mars: To Colonize or Not” Webquest. The
students need the city planners’ checklist that Ms. Smith has created as
a guide for this section of the project. She uploads the document from
her e-Locker and instantly creates a Handout within Studywiz Spark to
every student in her class.
One student completes the Multi-Content Activity, which
includes a Safari video on city design while another checks the
architect discussion board for answers to a question on incorporating
technology in the kitchen. In his role as interior designer, a student
views the 3-D Gallery, where classmates with the same role, have posted
their preliminary design sketches for comment and feedback. A Poll
question, on how to best layout city streets, is posted by the City
Planning group in the e-Bulletin area. Student’s respond and the results
are instantly analyzed and utilized by the group. While one student
downloads a podcast on city traffic patterns with iPod Syncing another
publishes a podcast on city zoning which she created in the Podcast
Gallery for sharing with the entire class.
