Giant Traveling Maps

Imagine a gym-floor sized map of North America... or Asia...or Africa coming to your school! These maps, created and designed by National Geographic, will be available for school-based programs for a limited time for several weeks in the Spring of 2009 (see dates below). The maps come with lots of hands-on (and "feet-on") activities and two of our naturalists to facilitate the program.

New for 2011 - "Rent a Map": Work with a Giant Map on your own! You'll be able to dedicate much more time to exploring the Map with your students when it is delivered for a day ...or for the week. Use your messenger service to pick up or we can provide delivery service. Training is optional. Call for more details.

Click here for a Newsday Story on how one district used this map....

Here is a bit a trivia about the North America Map: as big as it is, Hawaii is so far away that it can't fit and must be added on as a separate map!

New for 2010-11!
