Giant Traveling Maps

Imagine a gym-floor sized map of North America... or Asia...or Africa coming to your school! These maps, created and designed by National Geographic, will be available for school-based programs for a limited time for several weeks in the Spring of 2009 (see dates below). The maps come with lots of hands-on activities and two of our naturalists to facilitate the program.

           Asia is  40' X 30'                                                   Africa is 35' x 26'

See how 3rd graders in California used the Map of Asia to study its countries, latitude and longitude...and more.

New for 2009-10!

The map of North America will be even more available this year! We have arranged to have this Map from October 2009 through June 2010. Students will experience North American geography like never before!

Here is a bit a trivia about the North America Map: as big as it is, Hawaii is so far away that it can't fit and must be added on as a separate map!
