Directions to the Brookville Center

From the South Shore:

Take Wantagh Parkway north to Northern State Parkway east. Take Exit #35 North (Route 106/107). Follow Route 106/107 north till it forks. Stay to the right to follow Route 106. At the second traffic light turn left onto Brookville Road. Follow for approximately 7 tenths of a mile and take note of the white rocks (approximately 35) on the left side of roadway. Look for a green sign “Nassau BOCES Outdoor Education Center” on the left. Turn left onto driveway and follow to the parking lot. The  BOCES Outdoor Education Visitor Center is the first building on the left.

From the North Shore:

Take Northern Boulevard (25A) to Route 106 south. Turn right at second traffic light onto Brookville Road. Follow for approximately 7 tenths of a mile and take note of the white rocks (approximately 35) on the left side of roadway. Look for a green sign “Nassau BOCES Outdoor Education Center” on the left. Turn left onto driveway and follow to the parking lot. The  BOCES Outdoor Education Visitor Center is the first building on the left.

From Queens:

Take Long Island Expressway east to Exit #41 North (Route 106/107), or take Northern State Parkway east to Exit # 35 North (Route 106/107). Follow Route 106/107 north till it forks. Stay to the right to follow Route 106. At the second traffic light turn left onto Brookville Road. From Suffolk County:

Directions to Caumsett State Historic Park

* Take the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) to Exit #44 north Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway (Rte. 135).

* Exit at Route 25 East (Jericho Turnpike) and turn right onto Jericho Turnpike

* At 5th traffic light turn left onto Woodbury Road. (Texaco and Amoco Gas Stations)

* Stay on Woodbury Road. Do not turn left at Cold Spring Harbor sign or Route 108. Watch for green sign on left and left turning lane that you must take to stay on Woodbury Road

* At the intersection of Woodbury Road (Bank on the southeast corner) and Main Street (Route 25A) in Huntington, stay in right lane to go straight across Main Street. Name will change to West Neck Rd.

* Follow to the entrance of Caumsett Park, 5 miles from this intersection. Please observe the 35 M.P.H. speed limit in Lloyd Harbor.

* Alternative route from east or west: Take 25 A to West Neck Road in Huntington. Follow West Neck Road to the park.

A road sign marks the entrance to the park. Make a left turn through the park gate and continue up the hill to the information booth.

Advise the parking attendant that you are participating in a BOCES program. Follow signs to the BOCES Outdoor and Environmental Education Center.

School Groups: Please remind your bus service that they will be asked to stay at the park for the duration of the program to provide transportation for your students. Inform your bus driver to bring lunch and to monitor his/her speed at all times upon entering and driving throughout the park.

PLEASE NOTE:
The 15 M.P.H. speed limit is strictly enforced within the park.
