This school is an arts and academic program for students in grades 9-12 offering professional training by recognized artists. It is located in a specially designed complex in Syosset.

The Full-day Arts High School (grades 9-12) provides a comprehensive arts and academic program for students to meet the requirements for a high school diploma. An integrated and interdisciplinary curriculum is taught, and students can major in dance, drama, music, musical theater, playwriting, visual arts or theater technology. Students benefit from the intensive arts instruction and have extra time for additional courses in their majors.

The Arts-only Program offers a half day of professional arts training for students in grades 9 – 12. They can major in dance, music, drama, playwriting, musical theatre, visual arts or theater technology, while taking the other required academic courses at their home highs schools.

The specialized curriculum is designed to prepare students to pursue professional careers in one of the arts disciplines. Many courses are certified for college credit, and most students graduate with advance credits and full or partial scholarships to colleges or conservatories.

Student acceptance is based upon successful completion of an audition and interview. Completion of the departmental requirements is determined through a variety of assessment techniques required to meet the Center’s graduation criteria.

Classes are held in the High School’s custom-designed facility, which includes a professionally equipped theater, dance studios, sky lit art studios and individual practice rooms.

The program code (Coser) for these programs is 404.
