NBSLS members are encouraged to join NYSILL. To do so, contact the NYS Interlibrary Loan Unit at (518) 474-5383 or ill@mail.nysed.gov. This service is available at no charge and enables NYSILL members to receive materials directly from the State Library.

Interloaned material is distributed through the BOCES Film Delivery Service. Schools in participating districts automatically receive weekly service. Pickup and delivery takes place in a designated site in the school building, usually the library or main office. Delivery codes and delivery days are listed in the Directory in the Members section of this site. Packages (brown envelopes or boxes) sent through the Film Delivery Service must include the following information:

• School code for the borrowing school
• Name of the borrowing school
• Name of the requesting library media specialist
• Schools not participating in the Film Delivery Service can arrange for delivery through their membership in NBSLS by calling the BOCES Film Delivery Service at 396-2065 or 2067.
