Seventy years of volunteering at Nassau BOCES Carman Road School

Students at the Nassau BOCES Carman Road School benefit from the experience of their volunteers. Celebrating Public School Volunteer Week (April 17-21), Paul Panico, Ray Amoroso and Carol Resemini were treated to a special luncheon to honor their service.“This is like a second family to me. I love coming here,” says Paula Panico, who was a teacher aide for 26 before returning as a volunteer three years ago.Ray Amoroso saw an ad in Newsday and has been volunteering for more than three decades. Tina Engbith is a newcomer to the school, volunteering since 2012. All three are residents of Massapequa.
