Violence prevention and character education are crucial to the development of well-educated and well-adjusted children. The first step is to create safe schools and foster positive attitudes among all youngsters, especially at-risk youngsters.

Through a wide variety of programs that offer mentoring, professional development, family literacy and violence prevention, Nassau County educators can help produce a climate that motivates students to learn, and their families and teachers to provide crucial support.

This website contains information about specific activities and describes specific programs of interest to administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, and all those who work with youngsters striving to be the best they possibly can be.
