As a reminder, Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27, are non-instructional days for most Nassau BOCES educational programs, since we did not use snow make-up days this school year. There will be no instruction on those days except for evening Adult Education classes on Thursday. All schools will be closed for all staff and students on Monday, May 30, as originally scheduled. In-person instruction will resume on Tuesday, May 31.

The Nassau BOCES 2022-23 Administrative Operations Budget was approved by 49 of the 56 boards of education in Nassau. In addition, three BOCES Board members were reelected: Ronald Ellerbe, Fran N. Langsner and Robert “B.A.” Schoen.
In 2015, the Office of State Assessment announced that New York State school districts would begin transitioning from traditional paper-based assessments for NYS Grades 3-8 Math and ELA to computer-based testing (CBT), with a target completion date of Spring 2020.
