On march 14th i was in Pt inpatient and we leared that this one Patient had subuxation in the shoulder. Ant their ankle was weak and they had to wear a brace for it. And the patient had a tumor and they took it out to years ago. Another patient that day had vre which is a tybe of bacteria so you need to wear a isolation gown when working with that patient. And i got to heled  the pt by holding the wheelchair while the pt was working with thw patient.

  • Shelby's story

Posted by Jessica DeRiso on 3/20/2018 9:20:00 AM

Shelby’s story has impacted my own life and it also taught me to not take anything for granted. If I want to achieve something then I should do it. And if I’m having a bad day it is normal but you should always get up and do something no matter how sick you are or not feeling well it’s not an excuse to just sit back. And her story has taught me that you should always have a positive attitude because if you do it will not only help you but the people around you. Because you don’t have control on what will happen so you might as well have a positive attitude. As a future healthcare provider from Shelby’s story I learned that even if the patient doesn’t look sick you may never know what is wrong with them until you examine them. In conclusion I learned a lot form Shelby’s story it was very inspiring it taught me that you shouldn’t take anything for granted and life is too short so you should go into everything with a positive attitude.
