From teenagers earning certification as computer network technicians to adults learning English so they can become citizens, the Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs gives people all the skills needed for success in the workplace.
This is the common theme among our programs, which include a career education center for high school students, job training for men and women, specialized services for adults with disabilities, and basic education classes.

Nassau BOCES holds its first Career Signing Day
Twenty-nine Barry Tech and GC Tech students were acknowledged for taking the next major step in their professional lives by committing to jobs in their chosen fields of study or a military career during the agency’s first Career Signing Day. Twenty-one of the seniors from across Long Island schools will enter full-time work and 8 will begin careers in the military.

Thirty students from over 15 school districts competed in Walk/Trot/Canter, Cross Rails, and the Two Foot Jump Course.

Over 80 Barry Tech Seniors Achieve National Technical Honor Society Induction
Students representing 30 school districts from across Long Island, were inducted into the NTHS this Spring. These outstanding scholars earned exclusive membership in this distinguished academic institution through scholastic achievement, community service and the endorsement of their teachers.
