  • The Nassau BOCES Lighthouse Virtual Academy was created to meet the needs of local school districts to support fully remote students during the 2021-22 school year.  Based upon practices developed through its Online Learning Academy (OLA), the Lighthouse Virtual Academy offers districts a trusted pathway to continue remote educstion utilizing district-based teachers.

     

    Available now for in-district model for the 2021-2022 School Year.

     


     

  •    

    Elementary [K-6]

    • Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, PE
    • Synchronous & Asynchronous; Whole Group, Small Group, Individual Instruction
    • Student-Teacher ratio chosen by district
    • Program includes social/emotional learning curriculum

    Secondary [7-12]

    • Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science and; plus 3 additional courses per day from the following:  Art, Music, PE, Foreign Language, Electives
    • Synchronous & Asynchronous; Whole Group, Small Group, Individual Instruction
    • Student-Teacher ratio decided by district
    • Program includes social/emotional learning curriculum
