Remote Work Pilot
Nassau BOCES’ leadership is continuing to explore remote work. Since July 2020, the Agency has held several mini pilots as well as one long pilot from March through August of this year. In addition, many 12-month staff were able to participate in a more robust hybrid model this summer. The summer model and pilot will both end on Friday, August 26. This temporary pause of remote work will help our efforts to open the new school year effectively.
Earlier this year, the Future of Remote Work Committee distributed a survey regarding the pilot. The survey results along with emails and conversations with staff members have shown that while the pilot was successful in many ways, there is a need for adjustments. Based on this feedback, the committee will put forward a recommendation this fall for a new remote work structure.
Thank you to those who participated in the pilot and to you all for your patience as we continue to work on a structure that will best support our employees and the success of Nassau BOCES.
