Website Accessibility Statement
It is the goal of Nassau BOCES for the information on its website to be accessible to individuals with visual, hearing and/or cognitive disabilities.
We have begun good faith efforts to ensure that our website complies with New York State standards on website accessibility (New York State OFT Policy, P04-002, Accessibility of State Agency Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications).
The majority of pages on our site are available in HTML format that can be deciphered by screen readers. Some documents are in Adobe PDF format, which require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download it for free from the Adobe website.
If you are unable to access any page(s) on our site, please email them to our Web Manager at webmanager@nasboces.org with detailed information on the location of the page or document you were attempting to access. Website Privacy Notice
A. Information that is Collected and Stored Automatically
If you visit our site to read or download information, we collect and store in a log the following information about your visit:

Nassau BOCES uses software programs to compile summary statistics, which may be used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. We are also required to disclose this information in response to a law enforcement agency's request. Nassau BOCES does not knowingly collect, use, or maintain any information through the Nassau BOCES website from children who are under the age of 18. Website Security Notice
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to the largest possible number of visitors, Nassau BOCES employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Anyone using this system expressly consents to such monitoring and is advised that if such monitoring reveals evidence of possible abuse or criminal activity, such evidence may be provided to appropriate law enforcement officials. Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information on our servers are strictly prohibited and may be punishable by law.
Nassau BOCES also employs software programs to monitor incoming and outgoing network traffic in an attempt to prevent transmission of viruses or other harmful programs from our network to other networks or computers. However, Nassau BOCES is not responsible for any damages that result from malicious programs that are transmitted through our network.
