Medicaid in Education
The Nassau BOCES Medicaid in Education Program, developed in collaboration with the State Education Department (SED) and the Department of Health (DOH), enables schools to receive additional revenue for students—ages 3-21—who belong to the Preschool Supportive Health Services Program (PSHSP) and/or School Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP).
The mission of this program is to assist school districts and counties in obtaining Medicaid reimbursement for certain diagnostic and health-support services provided to students with disabilities. Telephone support, as it relates to the Medicaid process and Medicaid Compliance issues, is available to all districts in Nassau County and the schools within Nassau BOCES' jurisdiction. Medicaid Training is also available for CNYRIC Medicaid Data System (MedWeb and WebReports) and Medicaid 101's.
