    Part 154 Regulations*

Nassau BOCES Language Programs and Assessment Services and the Nassau BOCES Center for Online Learning are pleased to offer "Everything You Want to Know About the New Part 154 Regulations," a 4-week, virtual instructional program and ongoing collaborative support group.

This virtual program is designed for district-level administrators and others interested in the changes made to the Commissioner's Regulations Part 154 regarding programs for English language learners.  The instructional component consists of four one-week modules:

    • Identification Process
    • Establishing Bilingual Programs
    • Providing Service
    • Professional Development

This Spring 2015 semester program will cover curriculum over a four-week period through course videos, resources available for download and virtual course discussions.  Participants will have the opportunity to hear about the regulations, examine best practices and participate in discussions with colleagues from other districts.  Ongoing virtual collaboration and/or adding face-to-face sessions will be determined as the program progresses.

*Note: Spring semester class enrollments are now closed.  New sessions will be announced through "My Learning Plan" when available.
