School districts across the region can augment professional development through Nassau BOCES’ Digital Age Technology and Education Program (D.A.T.E./Model Schools). Working with schools to provide targeted professional development for teachers, D.A.T.E./Model Schools collaborates with school districts to help educators continue to improve by exploring new ways to design, deliver and evaluate instruction in the 21st century classroom.
D.A.T.E./Model Schools workshops and coaching sessions include research-based, learner-centered instructional strategies that are aligned to the New York State Common Core Learning Standards. Services include on-site staff development, in-class coaching and online courses on a variety of topics promoting technology-enhanced learning experiences.
