School Librarian Support Services, CoSer 361

Nassau BOCES School Library System School Librarian Support Services may include professional development, mentoring staff, itinerant librarian services and teaching supplies or materials for implementing these services.
 
This CoSer will assist districts with engaging student learners with certified school library media specialists and best practices as set forth in the NYSED School Library Program Rubric, the Empire State Information Fluency Continuum, the Computer Science/Digital Fluency Standards, and the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework. 

The base service will include a free 90 minute district workshop for librarians and /or library staff as well as 2 on-site days for School Library mentoring/coaching or professional development that can be scheduled in as little as ¼ day sessions. Additional days may be added by request.

Library Automation and Resource Sharing Service (LARSS), CoSer 533, includes two components:

1. Library Automation: licenses & support bundles including user groups, phone support and technical support from Customer Care. [CoSer: 533.010]

2. Online Resources: facilitating purchases of online databases, ebooks and other library resources that include an individualized Single-Sign on FindIt! discovery page. [CoSer: 533.020].
