Communications Office

  • The Nassau BOCES Communications Office works on a wide range of projects throughout the agency, including leading the planning, execution and follow-through of Nassau BOCES' Strategic Goals by working closely with other departments, the 56 component districts, local municipalities, community-based organizations and other groups.

Communications

  • We coordinate the distribution of information and handle media relations for Nassau BOCES. To read the latest news, or learn more about what's happening in education throughout Nassau County and the region, visit the Nassau BOCES Newsroom.

Community Engagement

  • We work with numerous education and community organizations to uncover ways all students can get involved in their communities. Additionally, we work with those students to discover solutions for the pressing issues facing Nassau County school districts.

Government Relations

  • As a leading voice in the county, the Nassau BOCES Strategic Initiatives team communicates often with local, state and national elected officials. Through an open line of communication, we are able to secure grants and other funding, as well as keep elected officials apprised of pertinent educational issues.

In Development

  • Our department is continuously working on projects with component school districts and community-based organizations to identify new services. Take a look at some current projects, including an island-wide Pre-K initiative.
