Compassion in Action
Nassau BOCES, in partnership with the Nassau BOCES Educational Foundation, is committed to fostering a compassionate community where everyone feels supported, especially in challenging times.
This program aims to assist families in our community during times of financial hardship. Our mission is to bridge the gap by offering essential resources, ensuring that no child goes hungry or lacks the support they deserve.
Together, we can continue to provide food, supplies and much-needed relief to families in our community, bringing hope and comfort to those who need it most.

Support Compassion in Action
Nassau BOCES employees, community members, and partners can make a meaningful impact through donations of all kinds—funds, coats, food, or supplies. Every contribution helps a student or family in need and reflects our agency’s core values: Compassion, Equity, Excellence, Integrity and Respect.
Every donation to Nassau BOCES Compassion in Action directly supports students and families across our schools. Whether you give a little each paycheck or sponsor a family for the weekend, your generosity goes a long way.

Winter weather has arrived, and with it the critical need for warm clothing. This year, Compassion in Action provided 101 winter coats to students across Nassau BOCES programs. The coats were collected and purchased through generous employee donations and the support of our Nassau BOCES community.

This year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our staff, students, and partners, Compassion in Action provided direct support to hundreds of Nassau BOCES students and families.

Thanks to the many generous food donations from individuals across the Agency, our incredible Nassau BOCES Iris Wolfson High School Food Pantry Crew was able to create 27 packages of non-perishable food items.
