Nassau BOCES Administrators selected as ACTEA CTE Leadership cohort
Dr. William Poll, Principal, Nassau BOCES Barry Tech (left) and Brad Slepian, Supervisor, Nassau BOCES Adult Career and Technical Education, have been selected to be part of the New York State Association of Career & Technical Education Administrators (ACTEA) CTE Enterprise Leadership cohort for 2026-27.
ACTEA is a non-profit organization that consists of New York State Career and Technical Education (CTE) administrators and represents the needs and interests of CTE programs, staff and students. Finalists were selected by the CTE Technical Assistance Center staff and ACTEA Board after a nomination and application process. The collaborative program includes six virtual sessions and five in-person sessions between October 2026 and October 2027 and is designed to develop CTE leaders and strengthen professional relationships among CTE administrators across New York State.

The annual meeting schedule of the Nassau BOCES Board for the 2026-27 school year was adopted at the Board's July 9 organization meeting. Meetings are held at the George Farber Administrative Center, 71 Clinton Road, Garden City, NY. (unless otherwise noted), and begin at 6 p.m.

Lisa Paolucci has been named the new principal of the Nassau BOCES Preschool at Barry Tech and Carman Road Preschool.
