Pet Grooming I

In-Person

Have a passion for working with animals? Become a pet groomer! This entry-level training program will provide instruction on grooming equipment, animal behavior, handling methods, basic canine anatomy, and bathing and drying methods. It is the responsibility of the student to have a dog available for class sessions for practical, hands-on training. Proof of dog's vaccinations are required.

Pet Grooming II

In-Person

Continue the Pet Grooming program and learn about various grooming styles among breeds and species. Practice using tools to groom faces, blend coat lengths, and trim nails. Study professional skills like communication and customer service pertaining to pets and their owners. Meet with counselors in our Employment Center for job opportunities in pet care facilities throughout Long Island.
