ACA Grant

The purpose of the Advanced Course Access Grant Program is to increase equity in access to advanced courses, including Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and dual-credit courses, for high school students who currently have very limited or no access to advanced courses, through online learning, distance learning, or other evidence-based methods.

Smart Start Grant

The purpose of the Smart Start grant is to develop, implement, and share innovative programs that provide professional development and support to increase expertise in computer science, engineering, and/or educational technology among teachers in grades K-8.

Center for Online Learning Subscription Information

  • The Center for Online Learning (COL) provides a wide selection of virtual learning opportunities for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12, educators, and school-based support staff.  For students, it provides a comprehensive package of access to virtual/blended courses and online content to support New York State Learning Standards and college/ career preparation.  Educators can benefit from rich online professional development offerings. The Center for Online Learning subscription also includes:

    • Participation in a COL Listserv
    • Discounted training classes and virtual/blended learning forums
    • Access to the COL Student Readiness for Virtual Learning Survey
    • Access to the COL student mini-module: Foundations of Online Learning 
    • Participation in COL-sponsored Breakfast Briefings and  Lunch & Learns
    • One no-cost enrollment for 1 student for 1 semester in the Nassau BOCES Online Learning Academy
