Melissa Salvati has been teaching Animal Care Skills at Barry Tech for over 19 years.  She has been working with animals for over 30 years. Mrs. Salvati has experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for small and large animals, groomer, shelter worker and dog trainer.

The Animal Care Skills Program exposes students to the skills they would need to work at an entry-level animal care job. Topics include skills needed to work in an animal hospital, grooming facility, pet shop, laboratory, and wildlife animal facility.
