I am a Nassau BOCES alumni. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, I was asked to start a vocational high school program in Horse Science in Lexington, Kentucky.  After starting the school, I came back to Long Island to teach in the program I graduated from. I have been teaching vocational education since 1977. My background in the horse science field boasts a wide variety of experiences including harness racing, thoroughbred racing, dressage, hunters, jumpers, and equitation. I have managed several equestrian centers and own a small horse farm in Suffolk County, besides teaching at Barry Tech,  I have private students who take riding lessons and compete at horse shows.  I also train horses and still compete as well.
