Nassau County introduces NASSAU CARES, a smartphone app to provide easy connection with substance abuse resources and services in our community. They also have a free and confidential phone number that is available 24/7 to locate resources: 516-227-TALK.
The Nassau BOCES 2020-21 Administrative Operations Budget was approved by 54 of the 56 boards of education in Nassau. In addition, incumbents Deborah Coates and Eric B. Schultz were returned to the Nassau BOCES Board and Lawrence Greenstein was elected to fill the empty seat due to a retirement.
The Nassau BOCES Board of Education has named Susan McNulty, of Rockville Centre, Executive Director of the Department of Special Education, starting July 1, 2020. She will oversee one of Nassau BOCES’ largest departments, serving more than 1,500 students with special needs in center- and district-based programs throughout Nassau County.
