    SUMMER ARTS ACADEMY FILLS QUICKLY!

The Summer Arts Academy offers young Long Islanders the chance to learn from professional artists and further develop their skills.

Daily classes and workshops are held in a custom-designed, air-conditioned arts complex with dance studios, digital media and music/audio production labs, sky lit art studios, practice rooms and a fully-equipped professional theatre. In addition to individual and group instruction from recognized artists — many of whom teach at the Long Island High School for the Arts—the program gives you the opportunity to see guest artists perform, work with ensembles, participate in workshops and events and join the whole group for a trip to a museum or a Broadway show.

    Who it’s for:

Students from sixth grade up with an interest in the arts. There are classes for those who already have a lot of training and other classes for those beginning their first experience.

  • Explore your passion...

Daily classes and workshops are held in dance studios, a digital media lab, music/audio production rooms, art studios, practice rooms and a fully equipped professional theatre. Additionally, a well-designed courtyard serves as a backdrop to many activities and lunch.

Choose the major you want and work with recognized artists, many of whom teach at the Long Island High School for the Arts. Perform alongside peers and staff in department shows, work with ensembles, participate in workshops, visit a museum or attend a Broadway show and take master classes in stage combat or self-defense. End the summer "season" in a major performance on the main theatre stage.
