ACCESS

CoSer: 551

The ACCESS Service partners with our component school districts to foster high-quality education for every learner. 

ACCESS is an acronym for Access, Connection, Care, Empowerment, Support, Successthe core values that guide our work.

The ACCESS Service provides resources, guidance, best practices and training to school districts to promote the academic success and well-being of all students. These include general education students (including ELLs and MLs), students with disabilities, and gifted education students.

Offerings align with the NYS Portrait of a Graduate, which has the NYSED Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education at the core, as well as the [Professional Standards for Education Leaders] PSELs (NYS Version) and CR-S Education Framework Crosswalk, NYS Teaching Standards and CR-S Education Framework Crosswalk, Dignity for All Students Act, Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS-I), and more. Service components are BOCES aidable*, and substitute reimbursement is available.

Districts' Implementation Partner

ACCESS Service provides structured support that adapts to districts' specific needs. All Nassau County districts can access our professional learning offerings. Subscribers receive included sessions and are charged the subscriber rate for additional registrations. Non-subscribing districts are charged the non-subscriber rate.


Core Service Components for 20252026:

ACCESS Service Package: $8,500

Districts receive:

ACCESS Initial Assessment

One initial assessment consultation and strategic planning session is recommended for July, August, or the first quarter. It may include determining where your district is situated on their journey, setting the destination goal for the school year, and developing your customized implementation roadmap. 

ACCESS Implementation Sessions

Two half-day in-person or virtual implementation sessions customized for your district's needs, supports successful understanding and application of next steps on your roadmap.

ACCESS Professional Learning Network

Four virtual 90-minute facilitated sessions for central administrators, district leaders, school leaders, and teams to share insights and strategies, learn together across districts, and build transformative capacity will be held in October, December, February, and March. Register on Frontline Professional Growth.

ACCESS Professional Learning Catalog

Professional development workshops are curated based on needs and request and are available throughout the year at the subscriber rate. Workshops are open to all districts, with non-subscribing districts paying the regular full price. Register on Frontline Professional Growth.

Extended Services

Nassau BOCES Presenter Daily Rate: $1,370 (Letter of Agreement)
Consultant Rate: As Per Contract (In-District Support Form)

In-District Support

In-District Support (IDS) professional development is coordinated and facilitated through EIB CoSer 551. Districts may use consultants (subject to Nassau BOCES board approval) and/or Nassau BOCES presenters for IDS, e.g., PDs aligned with NYSED Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Implementation Roadmap (K–12). 

*BOCES-aidable services include school board-member workshops and training, staff training, school/grade presentations and assemblies, consultation with school-based student groups, consultation with district staff, and parent/family outreach and workshops
