School Improvement Service

New for 2026–2027!

CoSer: 507.573

School Improvement Service supports continuous improvement for subgroups, schools, and districts identified—or potentially identified—by NYSED for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), or Target District status.

This service is designed to support ESSA identified districts, as well as other districts looking to proactively strengthen systems and outcomes. Services focus on strengthening instruction, raising academic standards, and enhancing curriculum and assessment practice and planning aligned to current NYSED initiatives to support continuous improvement and measurable outcomes for all students.

Activities under this service may include professional staff development, curriculum development and adaptation, and assessment practices and planning in support of Regents State initiatives and district improvement priorities, with an emphasis on building sustainable local capacity.

Through in person and virtual professional development, we engage certified district and school personnel in structured learning that promotes data informed reflection, root cause analysis, and targeted, evidence-based action planning.

This work addresses both instructional and non instructional factors that influence student success and impact the indicators used to make school and district status determinations: annual student performance on applicable state assessments, English language proficiency progress for English Language Learners, chronic absenteeism, and graduation outcomes.

Support is available through multiple access points
