Title: U3650: Culinary Institute: School for Culinary Arts - For Adults

Description: Participants in the Culinary Arts Institute focus on the skills necessary to obtain employment in the field of culinary arts as a prep cook, line cook or higher administrative position such as sous chef or executive chef. Participants will learn the fundamentals of culinary arts including but not limited to the use of specific tools, techniques and skills necessary to achieve employment in cold food preparations, hot food preparations, sauce, soup, stock and vegetable cookery. Each participant will learn techniques to produce savory food items that incorporate vegetable and starch cookery as well as meat fabrication and entrée based cooking techniques. This is an essential institute for anyone interested in work in the culinary field. Program tuition is $8,400, with payment plans (no finance charges) and job placement assistance available. This cost includes uniforms, books and cutlery.

Title: U3651: Culinary Institute: Baking and Pastry Arts - For Adults

Description: This course is designed for any individual interested in entering the culinary field in a professional capacity. The program offers in-depth experience and provides hands-on skills in the food service industry. The curriculum will cover local and national health codes; basic knife skills; equipment maintenance; restaurant-style food, baking and dessert preparation and training for the ServStaf and Nassau County Board of Health exam. Program tuition is $8,400, with payment plans (no finance charges) and job placement assistance available. This cost includes uniforms, books and cutlery.
