For nearly 20 years, Dr. William Poll has been a devoted educator and educational leader. He began his classroom career as a teacher of mathematics at Aviation High School (AHS) in the New York City School System. As Associate Principal of Barry Tech, Dr. Poll draws not only upon his significant educational career, but 15 years of experience as a business leader as well. Before embarking on his journey as an educator, he worked as a Manager and Supervisor at Trans World Airlines, as well as Marketing Director for Avis Rent-A-Car.

As Lead Fellow and Advisor of the New York City Teaching Fellows, Dr. Poll developed, trained and mentored new teachers. He has served as a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the School Administrators Association of New York State, and the Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators.

Dr. Poll holds a Doctorate and Professional Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision, as well as a dual master’s degree in Education, and Quantitative Analysis and Computer Information Systems, from St. John’s University.
