Nominations are open for the twelfth annual Nassau BOCES Education Partner Awards program

Education Partner Awards

Do you know an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to education? Why not nominate them for the Nassau BOCES Education Partner Award, an award that recognizes those who have made a measurable impact on public education on Long Island. Nominations are being accepted through Monday, November 5, 2018.

For more than a decade, Nassau BOCES has recognized those exceptional individuals and organizations that share its commitment to empowering students of all ages and abilities to achieve their maximum potential. Over 100 Education Partners have been named and commended for their outstanding support of, and influence on, public education.

Education Partners come from all walks of life and have included, over the past 11 years, families, educators, coaches, business men and women, superintendents, journalists, volunteers, legislators, college professors and retirees. The award is open to anyone who has made a significant contribution to education, from pre-school to adult education.

Nominations can be made in any of the following six award categories:

  • Education Partner (open to all)
  • Nassau BOCES employees
  • Organizations
  • School Board Members
  • Students
  • Teachers

This year it’s easier than ever to make a nomination. The agency’s goal is to show appreciation for as many outstanding advocates of education as possible. To submit a candidate, simply visit the Nassau BOCES website and complete the online nomination or download a form. You’ll need to include a brief essay explaining the reasons for your nomination, as well as an example of how your candidate has made a difference in public education.
