Shaundrika Langley-Grey named principal of Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School
Shaundrika Langley-Grey has been appointed to principal of the Nassau BOCES Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School in North Bellmore. Grey had been the assistant principal of the school since October 2012. She started her career in community action and transitioned into education after working parallel with school districts for many years.
“I am committed to be the best leader I can be and to create a welcoming atmosphere for children to learn and grow,” said Mrs. Grey.
In her new role, Langley-Grey will be responsible for both the Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School Program as well as two classrooms at the Michael F. Stokes Elementary School in the Island Trees School District.
Mrs. Langley-Grey holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY and an MSW from Fordham University, Lincoln Center. She has an additional master’s in education with a specialization in Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. She is currently a doctoral student at Fordham University.
She is married with two children and lives in Westchester County
