Jake Baron named Assistant Principal at Rosemary Kennedy School

Jake BaronJake Baron has been appointed Assistant Principal of the Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy School in Wantagh. He brings a broad range of experience to his new position at the school.

Mr. Baron comes to Nassau BOCES from the Brookville Center for Children’s Services in Brookville. He started there as a teacher and was promoted to the Curriculum Coordinator in 2019. He has worked to ensure that the school curriculum meets all state guidelines, collaborated and coordinated with more than 75 Long Island school districts in CSE/CPSE meetings to provide adequate and appropriate services to all students are just some of his duties at the school.

He has also been the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Coordinator, chairperson of the Diversity Committee and staff trainer to teachers in the IEP development and implementation program for students with Autism.

Mr. Baron holds a Bachelor of Science in History from SUNY Oneonta, a Dual M.S. Adolescent Education Social Studies and Teaching Students with Disabilities/Special Education degree from Molloy College in Rockville Center, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Niagara University.

Mr. Baron lives in New York City with his wife, Liana who works as a Special Education Teacher in District 75 (NYC DOE).
