Joyce L. Nolan is appointed District Clerk for Nassau BOCES
The Nassau BOCES Board of Education has appointed Joyce L. Nolan, of Uniondale, to the new position of District Clerk for the Agency. She will assist the Board Members and be responsible for the Agenda and Board Meeting minutes.
Ms. Nolan brings a broad range of experience including working for law firms, and investment and management companies. Her most recent experience as the clerk to both the Uniondale Public Library as well as the Uniondale Fire District will be valuable to her work at Nassau BOCES.
“We are thrilled to have Ms. Nolan serve in this new position,” said Dr. Robert R. Dillon, District Superintendent. “She brings strong administrative skills and organizational skills. In addition, her time as a Uniondale District Clerk make her an exceptional fit for the position.”
Prior to joining Nassau BOCES, Ms. Nolan has also worked at Nassau Community College in the Office of the Vice President of Academic/Student Services and the Office of the Dean of Students. She was also a member of the Industry Advisory Board for the Uniondale UFSD.

Ms. Nolan holds many accreditations including an Excellence in Entrepreneurship Program from Farmingdale State College; Certificate of Completion for Fire Safety Director from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice; certificate in computer programming from New York University, Certificate of Real Estate Sales and Appraisal from Pratt University and an Accelerated Secretarial Certification Program/Associate Degree from Briarcliffe Secretarial School.
