Adult Learning Center announces registration dates for Fall 2023 ESL and GED Classes

The Adult Learning Center is pleased to announce the registration dates for the Fall 2023 English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Educational Diploma (GED) classes. These programs are designed to help adults aged 21 and over increase their employability and enhance their educational qualifications. 


Registration for morning ESL classes will take place at three convenient locations: 

  • Levittown/Adult Learning Center - Thursday, August 31, 9 a.m.
    3100 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756
    (Located behind St. Bernards Church)
    Classes meet on Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Freeport Memorial Library - Tuesday, September 12, 10 a.m.
    144 W. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY 11520
    Classes meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Elmont Memorial Library - Thursday, September 14, 10 a.m.
    700 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, NY 11003
    Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

 

For those interested in attending evening classes, ESL registration will be available at the following locations: 

  • Levittown/Adult Learning Center - Thursday, August 31, 5 p.m.
    3100 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756

    Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

  • Valley Stream Memorial Junior High - Wednesday, September 6, 5 p.m.
    320 Fletcher Avenue, Valley Stream, NY 11580
    Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

  • Freeport Dodd Middle School - Thursday, September 7, 5 p.m.
    25 Pine Street, Freeport, NY 11520 
    Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

 

Registration for the morning and evening GED programs will take place at:

  • Levittown/Adult Learning Center - Thursday, August 31, 9 a.m.
    GED classes meet Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Levittown/Adult Learning Center - Thursday, August 31, 5 p.m.
    GED classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Please note that all registrations must be done in person, and students are required to bring photo identification for the registration process. Allow 1-2 hours for testing and paperwork completion. Seats are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
