Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School names new Assistant Principal

Jennifer Gielarowski  Jennifer Gielarowski has been appointed Assistant Principal of the Nassau BOCES Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School in Wantagh. She will be responsible for working with staff, overseeing student performance, assisting the principal and supporting the curriculum. Mrs. Gielarowski started her teaching career in the Department of Education (DOE) and has served as a special educator within the DOE, in various roles, for over 15 years.

“Cultivating an environment of lifelong learning has always been my personal and professional goal. As a lifelong learner myself, I am excited to learn and grow with the Jerusalem Avenue family. I believe it is my responsibility to promote the success of all students by facilitating the development and the implementation of learning that is shared and supported by the community.” 

Mrs. Gielarowski holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Therapy from Long Island University, a master’s degree in Special Education and General Education. In addition, Mrs. Gielarowski attended the College of St. Rose through the CITE Campus, attaining her leadership certifications.

She is married with two children and lives in Levittown.
