Notice on Coronavirus prevention

Principals attend Coronavirus prevention meeting

Nassau BOCES department leaders and building principals met to discuss the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the agency’s ongoing response. Nassau BOCES is closely monitoring the situation and following the guidance of our local health department, the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including cleaning protocols.

The CDC and New York State Department of Health have recommended the following steps to minimize the spread of all respiratory illness, including Coronavirus:

  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Nassau BOCES is continuing to work with our local and state partners to do everything we can to keep our students, staff, and community informed and healthy.
