Diego Serrano Maradiaga, an Auto Skills student at Barry Tech, from Westbury UFSD, received congratulations from Nassau BOCES Barry Tech Assistant Principal, Daniel Cava, for his outstanding achievement in winning the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship is given in honor of the late Jon H. Poteat, Co-Founder of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Annually bestowed upon NTHS members who consistently embody the seven fundamental attributes of the National Technical Honor Society—Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership—this award serves as a testament to Diego's exceptional dedication and excellence in his academic pursuits.
